We are pleased to have completed our programme of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) works at Sumner Farm Close, an assisted sheltered housing scheme providing 24-hour care to residents on behalf of Harlow Council.

Delivered over a 30-week programme, our works focused on enhancing fire safety while carefully managing disruption within a sensitive, occupied environment.

The programme included:

  • Replacement of front entrance and communal doors
  • Installation of swing free door closers linked to the fire alarm system
  • Ventilation works within residents’ flats
  • General and loft space fire stopping
  • Ground floor redecoration
  • Redecoration of the residents’ lounge

“It’s been great to see this project completed successfully. Working in an assisted living environment means being really mindful of the people who call it home, so a big focus for the team was keeping residents informed, minimising disruption and making sure the works were carried out safely. A big thank you to everyone involved for doing such a great job.” – Brad Smith, Director
