The project involved the refurbishment of four toilet units, including complete strip-out, installation of new cubicle systems, vanity units, and sanitaryware. The work was scheduled to be completed within a six-week timeframe during the summer holidays to ensure minimal disruption and was successfully delivered in time for the September intake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br \/>The project encompassed the following key activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scope of works<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Removal of existing cubicles, vanity units, sanitaryware, flooring, tiling, and fixtures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation of the area for the new installations, including remedial works and general masonry repairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Cubicle Systems and Vanity Units:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Supply and installation of modern cubicle systems designed for durability and easy maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Installation of matching vanity units, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flooring and Tiling:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Laying of new non-slip flooring suitable for high traffic areas to ensure safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Tiling of walls and splash zones to provide a clean and hygienic environment, with durable and easy-to-clean surfaces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sanitaryware and Accessories:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Supply and installation of new sanitaryware, including toilets, sinks, taps, dispensers, and hand dryers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements to cater to all students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Above Ground Drainage and Plumbing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Remedial works on the existing above ground drainage systems to ensure efficient and effective water management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Installation of new plumbing systems to support the new sanitary installations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lighting and Fire Alarm Systems:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Installation of new energy efficient LED lighting, improving both visibility and safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Integration of fire alarm systems in line with current regulations, ensuring the safety of the users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Decorations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Repainting of the entire area with durable, wipe clean paints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bright and welcoming colours were chosen to create an inviting and positive environment for the students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The refurbishment of the four toilet units was successfully completed on time and within budget, with all areas ready for the new school term in September.
