Our 6-month programme of works at Millington House is part of Kennaway Estate in Stoke Newington. The scope of works consisted of, roof replacements, loft insulation upgrades, fire breaks and compartmentalisation in the roof, gutter, fascia, and soffit repairs. The works to this five story block of flats was divided into 3 phases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Initially, we were instructed to replace the gutters, fascia, and soffits, however, due to Millington House being located within a conservation area, we offered to repair these instead. Our repairs ensured that the quality of the fascia, soffit and gutters were improved whilst conforming to the conservation rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To minimise resident disruption, our Resident Liaison Officer collaborated with the residents from the outset and throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also demonstrated our ability to resolve issues promptly, when the adverse weather over the Christmas period caused the metal sheeting to the temporary roof to come loose. This was dealt with swiftly in coordination with our scaffolding specialist outside of working hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result of our approach, we received very positive resident feedback and completed the project on time and within budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
